Forward vs flyback · same VIN, VOUT, N

Enter any three of VIN, VOUT, N = Np/Ns, D. Forward is a buck with a transformer: \(V_{\mathrm{out}}=V_{\mathrm{in}}(N_s/N_p)D\). Flyback uses \(D/(1-D)\).

Forward: D = VOUT · N / VIN. Resonant reset (LT8310 Cres on the drain) can run D past 50 %.
